MACEDON, Thessalonica. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ (26mm, 9.70 g, 2h). Pythian Games issue. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Agonistic crown inscribed ΠVΘIA, containing palm frond. SNG ANS –; Touratsoglou 113 (V29/R81). VF, dark brown surfaces, some dark green and red, cleaning marks. Same obverse die as lot xxx.
